Wet the coat of your animal thoroughly with water and rub the soap directly onto the coat. You can also rub the soap onto a sponge and then apply it to the coat. The first method is more effective. Work the soap in with a good massage of the coat. Let the soap sit for 3-5 minutes. If you are washing a horse or another very large animal, wash one side first and then the other side. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
