Konjac sponges are great natural facial and skin cleansers with different benefits for all skin types. Made from the root of the konnyaku plant which has a natural moisturizing effect and has been used for centuries in the Far East. Its alkaline properties make it surprisingly effective against impurities and excess sebum in the skin. You can read more about this in our blog.

If you have particularly dry or sensitive skin, try the Elicious Konjac Sponge with Red Clay. Red clay is rich in iron oxide and has a very calming effect on irritated, sensitive and sunburnt skin. Ideal for the treatment of rosacea, it can also help reduce fine lines and broken capillaries by moisturizing the skin. The soothing properties of red clay support the skin's natural cell regeneration process without disturbance or irritation. Shaped slightly differently to also reach the smaller spots.

A Konjac sponge is soft enough for daily use. If you like, you can use it in combination with your favorite cleanser, but you don't have to. Before use, soak the sponge thoroughly in warm water to expand the fibers, squeeze gently until softened and absorbed. They should only be used wet as dry konjacs are too hard and damage the skin. Use the sponge to cleanse the skin and work in circular motions all over the skin. Rinse thoroughly after use, gently squeeze out excess water and allow to dry. The sponge will last for approximately 2 months (with daily use) before it starts to break naturally. You can hang the sponge with the handy cord. Throw the Konjac sponge into the compost and replace it with a new one.

The natural sponge must be protected and is therefore in a special POF foil that is 100% recyclable. Then packed in a box of recycled paper.
